COVID 19 EMERGENCY RESPONSE

During the COVID 19 pandemic, we delivered food to families and individuals that were self isolating or unable to go out food shopping.

Where Will We Deliver Food?

Initially the service will be exclusively for Wandsworth residents. We aspire to launch in neighbouring boroughs but will need to fundraise a lot more to be able to do this. Partner organisations, funders and councils can get in touch with us to discuss funding this work. (link to contact page).

What Are We Delivering?

Pre-cooked, nutritious plant-based meal for each household member in whatever quantity suitable and available to us.

To ensure high standards of food safety the meal will arrive cold so recipients need to heat it when they want to eat it.

Allergens: All meals will be 100% plant-based and free of common allergens: Dairy, Seasame and Nuts. If you have other allergies, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.

We know there will be a huge demand for this service and we will not be able to deliver to every household that needs it. Once our service is full we will not be able to take on new households. We are so sorry we do not have unlimited capacity.

Is the Service Free?

Yes!

Thanks to the kind donations of our supporters a free service for the people that need it most during the COVID19 emergency. You are very welcome to make a small donation in exchange for your Food parcels if you are able. But this is not expected. For hygiene reasons our volunteers will not accept cash. To make a donation visit our crowdfunder!

When Will You Deliver?

Tuesday , Wenesday , Thursday and Saturday between 1pm and 6pm. We apologise we cannot give a specific time slot of food delivery.

Please Note – We will not deliver food on Sundays.

How Can I Receive a Free Meal?

Please complete our online form to request food for you or someone you know. Please only request a meal if you have absolutely no other way of accessing food during the COVID-19 crisis.

If we are not yet at capacity we will get in touch to let you know you have been added to the service. When we are at capacity there will be a waiting list to add your details too.

How Long Will the Service Last For?

We are not funded to deliver this service. Right now we are relying on donations and goodwill to keep our operations going. We need to raise money urgently to pay for a delivery van, driver insurance and personal protective equipment. This will enable us to support as many people as we can during this difficult time. Visit our crowdfunder to make a donation!

We also need local volunteers to help prepare and distribute food. Sign-up on info@wastenotwantnot-battersea.org ..

We hope you enjoy your food!
